Memento Moooi – Wallcovering collection for MOOOI, 2021-2022

This wallcovering collection is a unique cooperation between MOOOI and Arte International. Moooi is the extraordinary design brand founded by Marcel Wanders, while Arte achieved international fame as a designer of the most luxurious and sophisticated wallcoverings. Inspired by each other, back in the 2018, Moooi & Arte created the luxurious wallcovering collection Extinct Animals, which was followed by Tokyo Blue, and now Memento Moooi.

“Mimic Moth” – 2021

“The Mimic Moth is a 3D wallcovering with a soft suede look, inspired by the Mimic Moth’s shape and habitat. The wallcovering’s design is made up of embossed Mimic Moths surrounded by its favourite flowers. Meet the Mimic Moth is the most recently discovered member of MOOOI Extinct Animal concept. This “chameleon of the Lepidoptera family” loved to flutter day and night, unlike its nocturnal brothers and sisters.“

“Queen Cobra” – 2021

“The Queen Cobra is a geometrical wallcovering made by natural jute. Majestic looking Queen Cobras were called so because of their long coiling hairs resembling the hairstyle of Queen Tanjii of Kemet.“
